Matcha Milk Tea

Matcha your delight!

Matcha green bubble tea tastes sweet, creamy, milky, and refreshing! It is also a great choice if you want to enjoy a more healthier option. 

Because this bubble tea is made with matcha powder, it has a slightly earthy but definitely not overpowering flavour.

The tapioca pearls at the bottom are chewy and sweet as well, making this one delicious drink!

Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
  • ¼ cup hot water
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or sweetener of choice
  • 1 cup of milk of choice
  • 1 cup of ice cubes
  • 2 Boba scoops of cooked Tapioca pearls (*see our recipe on cooking tapioca)

Method
  • Prepare the tea, first of all - in a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder in hot water until a froth forms - this should take about a minute. Set this mixture aside to cool down.
  • Add your cooked tapioca pearls at the base of a glass or cup or divide between two.
  • Add your sweetener of choice. Then, follow that with ice and your milk of choice.
  • Pour in the matcha tea mixture to create a beautifully layered matcha milk tea drink. Stir a few times to incorporate the sweetener and serve straight away.
